Derron Johnson Jr., LPC
Therapist
I take pride in assisting families with children who are experiencing mood disturbances or having behavioral problems at home and school. I have years of experience engaging a diverse youth population with a variety of emotional and behavioral problems, including but not limited to autism, ADHD, defiance (ODD), antisocial behavior (CD and homicidality), and suicidality. Families and youth who are struggling need special assistance and support that I as a professional offer. Therapy can help to decrease problem behaviors and family conflict while strengthening family bonds.
I also have experience working with clients who struggle with anxiety/ stress, depression, low self-esteem and confidence, adjustment/ transition issues, anger management issues, distress tolerance and emotional regulation skills, interpersonal skills, and spirituality issues.
Clients I serve can benefit from the open and non-judgmental atmosphere I am adept at creating. I know it can be discouraging to talk to relatives or friends. It’s easy to not feel heard nor understood because of the natural biases we all have. Think of therapy with me as talking to a magic mirror. I ensure that every client is heard, seen, and supported!
